Club Na NÓg weekly 2018-05-28 20:03:00

It has been a fantastic week for Blarney Rathpeacon Club NaNÓg.   We would like to extend a big thank you to Blarney man Robert Scannell of Cahir House Hotel for providing a room, food and beverages for the hugely enjoyable day out in Thurles for the Cork v Tipp games where Blarney GAA had two players on the minor team, Shane Barrett being the captain, Pádraig power in corner forward and also the All Star Mark Coleman on the Senior team.   The boys had a really enjoyable day and a great experience that will stay with them for years to come

On Saturday, Blarney/Ráthpeacon U9's put in a fine display of hurling in Douglas on what was a lovely day for hurling. Their commitment and skill was a joy to watch. We'll done to all who played.

Our under 8s played against St Finbarrs in Togher in a club hosted blitz. Our lads played brilliantly, and all the hard work in training and practice at home is shining through

And finally, in their first competitive football outing the under 7s went toe to toe with teams from Ballyhooly, Glanmire, Lisgoold, Fr O’Neills, St Michaels and Inniscarra in the rearranged Monster Blitz. All players played brilliantly displaying the skills they’ve only just learned in the last months. Its great to benchmark ourselves against other Cork teams and the Blarney Under 7s more than held their own winning 4 games along with displaying enormous determination and battle that you’d expect from them. Well done to all the players and huge thanks for the great support.

Important Note:  Football Parish leagues start Wed at 7pm. Be there for no later than 6:45pm to get your teams please. Gum Shields are compulsory.
