Weekend Results Round-up 2017-10-02 19:18:00

It was a busy weekend of action across all grades and codes this weekend.

First into action were the Blarney Camogie Junior C team who took on Millstreet in the county final on Friday night in Ovens. Despite a brave effort, the girls fell just short and were defeated by 4-15 to 5-8. Nevertheless it's been a very positive year for camogie in Blarney.

On Saturday afternoon the u14s were successful in the semi-final of the hurling league, defeating Cobh in Blarney on a scoreline of 5-10 to 0-12.

Our u16 footballers (pictured below) claimed the Rebel Óg East B1 football championship on Saturday, defeating Canovee by 3-15 to 4-8. It was a well deserved win for a very hard-working and dedicated group of players.

Finally on Sunday our u21 hurlers fell just short against Blackrock in the opening round of the championship. On a blustery day in Ballincollig the lads battled hard but were pipped at the end on a scoreline of 1-14 to 1-17. They will face Carrigaline in round 2 on Wednesday the 4th at 6.30pm in Pairc Ui Rinn.
