U11's travelled to Cobh 2018-04-22 21:17:00

Blarney / Rathpeacon U11's took on Cobh this evening away from home in the sunshine.   The lads shot out of the blocks and showed great skill and conviction in their hurling but unfortunately luck wasn't on their side and the wides and near misses racked up.   Cobh took over for a spell and scored a goal and 4 without reply.   Blarney, stuck to their task however and scored a well deserved goal on the stroke of half time.

The second half started with both teams exchanging scores, with Cobh still ahead on the scoreboard.   The boys were not to be beaten though and put in a sterling finish to win the game by a point. 4:4 to 3:6.   The boys have a fair few bruising battles this year and it really is to their credit that they showed such great spirit and skill today.   The Future is bright if they keep showing this ambition, skill and honesty in their hurling.

Well done to todays joint captains Diarmuid Forrest and Darragh Lawless.
