Fé11s progress in the John Kerins Memorial 2019-05-04 15:44:00

04th May 2019.  Blarney/Rathpeacon under 11 footballers brought a panel of 25 players to the John Kerins memorial tournament in Mayfield on Saturday morning.  The other teams in our group were Mayfield, Brian Dillons and Whitechurch. First up it was Mayfield at 11am. After a close first half Blarney/Rathpeacon took the lead early in the second half and won in the end.  Next up it was Brian Dillons and again Blarney/Rathpeacon pulled away in the second half winning by a couple of points. The final game was against Whitechurch. After a great game with our neighbours we won by a single point in the end surviving a second half rally by Whitechurch. We finished top of the group and have now qualified for the finals in Pairc Ui Rinn on the 15th of June.  Well done to all the players, coaches and parents. Thanks also to our opponents for three great games. This really is a special group of lads who are working hard in training and most importantly having fun while learning.  They’re all looking forward now to Parc Ui Rinn in June.
